TalkEstimate Privacy Policy

TalkEstimate is a mobile estimating tool for contractors. This policy
explains what information the app handles and why. Short version: your
data exists to make your estimates work, it is never sold, and there are
no ads or cross-app tracking.
Information you provide
- Your account: your email address (for login codes), your name,
business name, phone, and your pricing (cost book, rates, markup).
- Your customers: names, phone numbers, emails, and project
addresses you enter to create estimates. You are responsible for having
your customers' permission to enter their details.
- Voice recordings: jobsite walkthroughs you choose to record.
- Photos: jobsite photos you choose to attach.
- Estimates: the line items, prices, and proposals you create.
How it's used
- Recordings are transcribed and organized into work items so your
estimate can be built. Audio is processed by OpenAI for transcription
and scope extraction only. AI never sets your prices.
- Estimates and proposals are stored so you and your customers can
view them. Customer proposal links are protected by long random codes.
- Login emails are delivered through our email provider (Resend).
Where data lives
Data is stored with Supabase (database, file storage, authentication)
using encrypted connections. Each contractor's data is isolated — one
account can never read another account's information.
What we don't do
- No selling or renting of your data or your customers' data
- No advertising and no ad networks
- No tracking you across other apps or websites
- No collecting your location
Data deletion
Email us and we will delete your account and all associated data
(estimates, recordings, photos, customer records) within 30 days.
