TalkEstimate Privacy Policy

TalkEstimate is a mobile estimating tool for contractors. This policy
explains what information the app handles and why. Short version: your
data exists to make your estimates work, it is never sold, and there are
no ads or cross-app tracking.
Information you provide
- Your account: your email address (for login codes), your name,
business name, phone, and your pricing (cost book, rates, markup).
- Your customers: names, phone numbers, emails, and project
addresses you enter to create estimates. You are responsible for having
your customers' permission to enter their details.
- Voice recordings: jobsite walkthroughs you choose to record.
- Photos: jobsite photos you choose to attach.
- Estimates: the line items, prices, and proposals you create.
How it's used
- Recordings are transcribed and organized into work items so your
estimate can be built. Audio is processed by OpenAI for transcription
and scope extraction only. AI never sets your prices.
- Estimates and proposals are stored so you and your customers can
view them. Customer proposal links are protected by long random codes.
- Login emails are delivered through our email provider (Resend).
Where data lives
Data is stored with Supabase (database, file storage, authentication)
using encrypted connections. Each contractor's data is isolated — one
account can never read another account's information.
What we don't do
- No selling or renting of your data or your customers' data
- No advertising and no ad networks
- No ad-based tracking that follows you around other apps or websites
- No collecting your location
Website analytics
Our website (talkestimate.com) uses Google Analytics to count visits and
see which pages and buttons people use, so we can make the site better. It
records things like pages viewed, buttons clicked, and whether a signup
succeeded — never your name, email, phone, or anything you type into a
form. We turn Google's advertising and cross-site personalization
signals off, and we don't run ads. If you'd rather not be counted, your
browser's tracking protection or an analytics blocker will stop it.
Data deletion
Email us and we will delete your account and all associated data
(estimates, recordings, photos, customer records) within 30 days.
